About me

My name is Lucy Vining and I am 15 years old (December 2012). From a young age I have been interested in crime investigation, due to my love of the Agatha Christie novels, meaning that I am now thinking about pursuing a career in forensic science. Although I am also interested in the psychological side of crime, I am fascinated by the science that we can use to prove exactly how a crime has happened, as I would like to help    people get the justice that they deserve. I hope to be able to discover more about techniques used by forensic scientists.

As well as this, more recently I have developed an interest in the way in which our body works, especially genetics. Our knowledge of genetics is rapidly growing, especially with the recent mapping of the human genome, and this field is definitely something I am interested in and would possibly like to work in.
